bfishn Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 I'm a filthy smoker too, but let's get back to cussing for a moment. When I was young and impressionable, there were 7 words the powers-that-be saw fit to censor... ...now there's 68. http://www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/the-68-words-you-cant-say-on-tv#.uhZgQxnMj I can't dance like I used to.

dan hufferd Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 I will go ahead and say it...Theses values that we have forgotten started with our knowledge of God. Even my foul mouthed father took us to church and taught us to not curse around women and children. and to say yes sir and no sir and so on. You don't learn reverence in school. The farther away from God we get the worse we get. We are just too smart to keep God around. Hey look we got off topic again It's wrong to cheat too. Deadstream, Brian Jones, DADAKOTA and 1 other 4
Old plug Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 I can say say some pretty vulgar words in sign language. Just so you know.

Meh...my parents weren't church goers at all, never taught me a thing about God, but taught me to respect other people, which included not cursing around anybody you didn't know well and know that they didn't mind. But that was a lot of years ago. Seems like these days, everybody is a lot more selfish. The "center of the universe" syndrome is rampant, as in "I'm the center of the universe, everything revolves around me, and nobody else matters." Cursing in mixed company and when among strangers out in public is just one symptom. Deadstream and Old plug 2
fishinwrench Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 I can tell by the way a person stands, sits, or walks whether or not I can talk "freely" or not. People who wouldn't say $#it if they had a mouthful hold their chin at a perfect 90° to their chest all the time, sit with both feet flat on the floor, and walk like their heels are sore. They seldom wear hats, and if they do it will be incredibly clean and straight. Fingernails PERFECT. If there's a beard it is neatly groomed. Even if you keep your vocabulary in check they are still judging you, either by the vehicle you're driving or the cleanliness of your shoes. The real jackasses are the ones that ask permission to pet your dog. What the hell? Look at him! By all means PET the sonuvabitch! Coosa and Deadstream 2
Mitch f Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Funny thing, the Chinese as a whole, do not curse. I mean almost never. But they will absolutely screw you out of every penny you own, and not think anything of it. My wife tells of when someone dies in China and the siblings fight tooth and nail over their inheritance. I had a Chinese gal rush me at the door of Costco the other day and asked me if I could walk her in the door with my card so she could go shopping without having to pay the membership fee, I didn't have the heart to tell her she still couldn't buy anything?. Anyway I would rather have a little cursing than put up with their greedy culture. enough of my rambling. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

My Michigan old timer friends can't speak a sentence without all the GOOD cuss words. They have been at Phil's about 5 times now and I still have to remind them to clean it up. They are much better now and we charge $1.00 a word. Poker/ Euchre night gets expensive!
