My Dad was a police officer in the St Louis area when I was growing up (back in the 1950's). Police were looked up to in those days. Walking the beats day and night. Kids would get in trouble and Dad would smack the in the butt and take the home to there parents. Back then, the parents would thank him. I long for the old days. Thanks to everyone who protects us. Seems like Thanks isn't enough. God Bless all of you!

Thank you to all of you that serve. It's an unappreciated job and you put you life on the line everyday. Stay safe and thanks again.

God Bless LEO's......having to deal with people everyday who are talking about retaliation against them, people who have been taught from birth to treat them with disrespect, and people who's politicians fan the flames for political benefit. Worse yet, when many or most allegations are disproved, no punishment is given, encouraging more of the same crap.

I don't think it's that complicated of a issue, It all starts in the home. I believe those of us hear on this forum were fortunate to have been brought up by good parents and taught to have respect for other people, & to have even a bit more respect for those that help & protect the citizens,,, law enforcement, firefighters, medical personal, etc. We all are very fortunate, Not to give anyone a excuse for there actions, but for those that did not have that atmosphere in there childhood is sad. We all got in some kind of trouble when younger but the good parenting we had as kids comes to light as we grow up. Thanks Mom & Dad!!
