one more thing to add, nothing wrong with being red red neck, but if your a dumb arse red neck and proud of being a dumb arse then you are just plain dumb whether your neck is red or not !!!!!!!!!!! :pissed-off:

It has nothing to do with being a redneck or not, being dumb or being a jerk transcends all stereotypes.  The biggest jerks I have met were those with money AND the attitude to want to shove it in your face as to how important they were.  It is always amusing when I see someone like that showing his backside to someone I know who wears bibs, and could buy and sell the jerk without noticing.  Jerks are jerks regardless of where they are from or where they are at.

No, there isn't any age, race, or socioeconomic class that has a monopoly on jerks.  And Terrierman is probably right; most people aren't jerks.  But the sheer numbers of jerks seem to be rising.  Probably that's just because the sheer number of people we have to deal with keeps rising, and a finite percentage of them being jerks, the number of jerks rises in proportion.

I spent a lot of years trying to sell my work at art shows across the country, which meant dealing with lots of people.  There were times when I really wanted to just shoot some of them; I was beginning to understand the meaning of going postal. Most people were perfectly fine, but the jerks and idiots just made a bigger impression.  Anybody in a retail business probably knows that feeling.  Now I really don't deal with the public all that much; I have two nice galleries that do all the work of selling my stuff, while I might make an appearance at one or the other every couple of years.  And I find my tolerance for jerks is even less, because I'm no longer used to dealing with them, and don't have to put up with them on a regular basis.

(By the way, I just completed one of the largest and most expensive paintings I've ever done; delivered it to the gallery in Jackson WY last Friday as we were starting for Missouri, got word yesterday that it had sold.  And I didn't have to sell it.  Thank you, gallery!)

These the world is going to hell in a handbasket because (insert offence here) are a regular blast to read.  Mostly to get me thankful that by far and away the vast majority of people I meet and interact with daily are fine with me.

Yep.

AL

I was not talking about socioeconomic jerks. I was  talking the social action between these different groups in my post. Lots of hate and disrust right there that is where Insee the future danger.

Just go to any Walmart parking lot or grocery store parking lot and see the empty carts everywhere, no where near the cart rack. Because it's 60 feet out of the way, they won't take the time to do the right thing. My pet peeve

I will second that Mitch. I have been known to say to such people do ya think you could push that another ten feet to the rack? Pat says someday I will get my clock cleaned for that.

On the other hand I have  seen others ask if they could take my cart as I emptied it as I have too. From way out in the parking lot where I like to park. Pat no matter where she parks will push the cart all the way to the cart rack at the store entrance. Pet peeve of her too except she won't shoot her mouth off .
