Hard for me to tell how big that one is really. I'm sure I've caught some 12 inch ones. I'll have to start measuring I guess.

My largest measured ozark and northern rock bass are just a bit larger than 10 inches. However I'm pretty sure that I have caught some over 11 inches.My catches came from mostly fishing small creeks and rivers. I'm pretty sure that there are some that big in the larger rivers or lakes of the ozarks.

I have caught 10-11 inch ones, I think that I have caught a 12 but it wasnt measured so maybe not. Thats a pig either way.

They tend to thrive in the same waters as smallies.  Cool and clear.

There are management areas in MO for them, minimum length is 8" for possession to encourage trophys.

I've caught rock bass in Connecticut and upstate NY as a kid. Wouldn't surprise me if they are in Canada as well.

The one in the original ock is a nice thick wide one with dark coloring.  Good one anywhere.
