Renewed my fishing license today and the license from last year and year before was a nice plastic type material, which held up well and always looked presentable.....BUT now it's just a piece of cheap paper like you would run off of your copier, you would think they would have stayed with the plastic type material..i just disappointed i guess...lol...it also says to keep license looking nice to put it in a plastic bag....lol

I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything!

They are counting on more people using the MOHunting app on their smartphones and moving away from paper licenses.  I have been going that route the last couple years and only printing deer and turkey transport tags....of course on cheap paper that needs to be protected with a plastic bag...?

I dont think you need those paper/plastic tags for deer or turkey either if you're using phone app as long as you immediately notch your tag and telecheck, both through the app.  For my archery deer this year I did just that. No tag on deer.  App shows time & date of notching & telecheck as well as what was checked, doe, button or antlered buck.

I do the electronic app, but I also tend to print out a copy and put it in my glove box in the truck.

What I do with my paper licenses to protect them; use the wide clear packing tape and laminate them. I first scale the size down so they will fit in my billfold. Cover the front and back with the tape and then trim the tape close to the edge of the paper.
