Remember OLD Spoony would be happy to take you anytime that you would want to venture this direction. I'm not much of a guide, but I do leave a ton of fish for my partner. Champ188 and Macsimus 2
Champ188 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 I often fish in the foulest of foul weather. I live for it. Still no one would've wanted to be on Grand yesterday. It's a different animal entirely when the wind gets up above 20 mph. Royal Blue, Ham, dtrs5kprs and 3 others 6

I'd rather my Cougar stayed on the right side of the surface. dtrs5kprs 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

Ask anybody who's put in the time on horrible weather days, the Rock comes alive and many "life time" trips are mentioned, and reveared! It's the best nasty weather lake I've ever seen. Even at that, 30+ wind is no longer on my to do list. Used to love it. You couldn't have fished in KC yesterday for any amount of money. 40-48mph gusts. Old guys weren't walking their wives' puff-puff dogs, they were flying them like kites. Macsimus, m&m, vernon and 3 others 6

Quillback Posted March 7, 2017 Author Posted March 7, 2017 Some nasty wind blew through here late last night, but no twisty things as far as I know. magicwormman 1

We logged some basement time. Worse across the river in MO, and south in Olathe. Some pretty wild videos on the morning KC news. magicwormman, vernon and Quillback 3

Hammer time Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 I fished Stockton yesterday, just stayed in the river but still 3-5ft rollers in spots. Had great day and never seen a boat.
