It has a pigtail deal on the end. I epoxied mine in because it kept wanting to work loose.

For me, it works a lot better than the various "bombs" on a leash, but I rarely crank deeper than 10'. It works about like poking a rod tip at a bait, but with less risk.

Once in a while it will surprise you with a quirk, especially if you are alone.

Well, I guess that pretty much sums up my sense of awareness and attention to detail!  Don't ever call me as a witness for anything cause I'll be like, "Pole? What pole?  I didn't see a pole."

I ain't gonna ask for no details about "quirks" either.  

In fact, upon further review, I think I'm just gonna cut my line from now on and just tie on a new bait.  Probably best for all involved!

Or do like I do. Fish in open water where there aren't any things to get hooked on including FISH. But I never lose a lure. Come to think of it maybe that is why I am not catching Any fish.  ?HMMM.....lol
