Didn't play my senior year because I was so banged up. 3rd knee surgery a couple of years ago, knee replacement is next. And yes, I would do it all over again. Just had a knee replacement probably induced by playing a lot of basketball, and some football and baseball. Marching and PT in the Army. Hiking and jogging. But I too would do it all over again, except I would push myself harder if I could turn back the clock. As for soccer, I remember in the 8th grade for gym class they put us on a soccer field and had us go at it. 25 kids chasing a ball around. Never played it since then. Champ188 1
m&m Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Well I guess I have to be the odd ball and defend soccer. Having coached both boys and girls to championships, attended many games at all levels including last summers Copa America Cup in Chicago I have come to realize that it is one of the sports where it is you against your opponent. No bat, no clubs, no rackets, nothing but your skill against another's. But I understand how some people feel because (now get ready for it) it is how I feel about golf. But I know many people love the game of golf and I am happy for them. It is just not for me. Anyway, my 2 cents worth. Mike Champ188 1

All 3 of my sons played soccer and I've always felt it to be a great sport for kids because it is always in motion, always moving. Unlike standing in the outfield, daydreaming while waiting for a fly ball. That said, I can't watch soccer on TV. Maybe if I had played it myself. With regard to golf, I like to watch it during the winter just to see some green grass and blue water. "There was a time that I didn't fish, but I cannot remember it."

Best beware of shoplifters in that group! There's a few that I bet would key a new Ranger hull if they got close enough. "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups."
