m&m Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I'm in a tournament every time I get on the water. I have always either finished 1st or 2nd. Those times I didn't win, my competitor (the fish) won. Mike merc1997 Bo, 96 CHAMP, crazy4fishin and 4 others 7
Old plug Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 They d not get most of them but they sure kill a lot of them.
crazy4fishin Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Bingo! More stroking of tender egos. Next step, everyone not in the check line can go to the scorer's tent to receive their participation trophies while a motherly female volunteer sings "Soft Kitty" to them. There was a participation trophy!?!?!?! WTH - I didn't get one! And lets face it that Kaley girl can sing soft kitty to me anytime (Note to Mrs C4F - this is not the real C4F....russions have hijacked his OA login......) abkeenan Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 They d not get most of them but they sure kill a lot of them. That is a pretty assuming statement. The Big Bass Tour is a class act and are very proactive on their fish care. Chemically treated bumper tanks while waiting in line and fish are expedited quickly to the large holding tank on the pontoon directly behind the weigh in stage after being weighed. I can't say how many fish don't make it during their tournament but I bet the number is pretty low. Two things worth noting are: 1) the tournament is during April with cool water and lots of shallow fish being caught. Probably not a single fish that needed to be fizzed. 2) Typically anglers are smart enough to know that only 3+ lb'ers are gonna cash so all the 15-18" fish that are under 3 lbs are immediately tossed back in the lake under the "Big Bass" format. In a typical 5 fish tournament those same fish are hauled around ALL DAY in a livewell. So as many boats are entered in the BBT I don't think the fish are under any worse care than any other tournament. ESPECIALLY the ones during the heat of the summer. I am all for fish care and think there are indeed TOO MANY tournaments though out the year on TR. But the BBT guys do a great job and I have no issue with their fish management and care system. You probably talk bad about guys in their 40's that live in their mom's basement too. Disgusting and judgemental if you ask me. AND as for me I only did that until I was FORTY TWO so it's not like it was all that abnormal or anything anyway. Hater.
