Ketchup Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Just unhooked the boat. Put in at Cape Fair around 3:30. Could not find any type of pattern at all. Caught fish on Crank, Jerk, worm, Shakey. I fished the ned for over an hour. Got bit 3 times but no hook sets. Found 66.4 water in the back of 2 different areas. Man was it nice heading back to the ramp. Slick water. Not used to that lately. Overall caught 7 fish with no keepers. marcus, Sore Thumbs and Quillback 3 TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
m&m Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 I launched from Moonshine around 10am Wednesday and fished until 1:30pm. WT was 60.4 to 63.2. I fished small cuts off of a major creek. Many bedding fish can be seen in that super clear water. Every bed I saw was next to a log, stump, rock or something. Some had fish on them while others had fish cruising nearby. Green slime is still there. Caught 8 all non keeper and all LM. 2 on a shakey head lizard and 6 on a spinner bait. I purposely did not throw the Ned just to get reacquainted with the bite on other lures. Beautiful day to be out. Mike vernon, Quillback, marcus and 3 others 6
GNSfishing Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Was out doing some crappie fishing today around Cape Fair and found enough for a good 10 fish limit. They came from 5 to 10 ft casting to the bank. Water temp up to 70 plus in the back of Piney. So the water temp is climbing. Had the first skiers in Wooly this evening so the saga begins will have to be on the lake early or after dark for peaceful fishing until October.. Caught several bass while crappie fishing but no keepers some real close.. vernon, Champ188, Royal Blue and 2 others 5
Members Tehmilz4 Posted April 25, 2017 Author Members Posted April 25, 2017 Thanks for help guys had a really tough day. We should have ran up the James arm but didn't feel like traveling that far. Ended up catching all small mouths and all 13-14" fish
Ellros Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 It's going to be a tough weekend for all the Tyson guys. The lake is 6 feet higher (and probably more by saturday), than it was a week ago. So those spawning beds are 6+ feet deeper. Not top mention rain forecast for the weekend.
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Kimberling to the dam will be good, the rivers might be good fishing but treacherous travel
