As a Nitro owner, I'm furious...but where did you see that decal?  I'm in the market for one, since the decal on the side of my boat cracked and peeled-off a couple months after I bought it...I also need to replace the rubber trim, ignition switch and the carpet's kinda loose.  I'm just jealous.  ;)

Had a RT188 that just couldnt quite keep up with the little ole tracker this morning at Cape,  Bet that stung a little.  That being said, i still want one.  HAHA those ranger Tin cans are pretty sweet

Can't for the life of me figure out why anyone buys a Ranger tin boat. Not with Lowe, Xpress, Tracker, Lund, etc., available.

Have you looked at the new Ranger tin boats?  They are more than able to compete with anyone else.  Their hull is very quiet due to their foam filling process.  The design is great with probably the best storage design on the market (obviously this is a personal choice).  This is coming from a very satisfied Lowe owner.  But the Ranger Tin rigs are legit.

Any of these top of the line boats have pro's and con's, but they are all striving to get better and improve everyday as Mitch said.  The do-dads, bangles  and goodies are just not going to stop, and neither is the quality of production and products.  It simply can't if any of the boat companies wish to continue.

Word on the street is there is going to be a new player in the game in 2018/19.  Did I hear the name Forrest Wood?  Stay tuned as this saga unfolds as there is a lot of talk out of Mountain Home that the previous regime including Wood and his top executives that quit during the take over, including some of his kin folk are getting ready to get busy as soon as the No Compete Clause ends in 2018

Be interesting.

I've heard the same and asked someone who I consider "in the know".  He said that it's a rumor and that Mr. Wood has no interest in starting another company as he is perfectly happy making money from his cattle operation and other ventures.  Mr. Hopper is most likely doing just fine without starting another company.  Through the "grapevine" it was said that Mr. Wood has bought several large warehouses around Flippin and Mt. Home. Who knows for sure, but it would be slap in the face of big corporate boat making if it happens and is successful.

IF it does come to fruition, it would be interesting to see what kind of quality the "new Ranger" could offer over current and how would they get around the stringer/pull truded system being a closely guarded patent?  I for one would love to see a "new Ranger" and hope that if it happens, employees, quality and innovation would be the focus. The early to mid history of Ranger Boats is an amazing story. Later history...... just big corporate building boats.  Still like the 521C (an aircraft carrier that isn't the fastest, but a dream to fish from). l will have one built when I retire (246 working days, but who's counting?).

Hey Dave...Trying to send you a message about ordering some Ned Heads but for some reason it says you can't receive messages.  How can I get in contact? (sorry to jack the thread)

It was as weird seeing ranger boats parked next to Nitros and trackers at Cabelas, in Kansas City.  I looked at a new ranger 621, with full windshield, 300 yammy, with a t9 kicker and a coooooooool price tag of $88,000. ??

Only 88 grand?   Pfft, my lake front home on Higgins Lake, Mi cost 90,000.00.  It is worth much more now but 88 for a fishing boat?  What bank loans that kind of money?  I might want to talk to them. That banker has a great sense of humor and I appreciate that.:o
