Chief Grey Bear Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 While scanning the World Wide Web I ran across a vintage photo of a Neosho Smallmouth that shatters the notion that a few, well a couple, well they're not a couple, I mean they could be a couple, that like to say the Neosho Smallmouth is just a toy fish for kids and men with small hands. This Neosho was caught in Showl Crik just upstream of Jed Ransby's place near the ol still that Grady Sears used to operate til the revenueres got wind of it. MOPanfisher Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I heard that the angler used a live cotton mouth for bait. BilletHead, mixermarkb and Chief Grey Bear 3
BilletHead Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Actually I herd it was caught by the original developer of the Ned rig. moguy1973 Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I heard that when they took that fish out of the water when they caught it the Neosho river watershed dropped by 4 feet. Not only that the hand dug wells in the watershed went dry. bfishn Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 There's a Facebook page claiming he gigged it... ...off a bed. Haters... Seth, Chief Grey Bear and grizwilson 3 I can't dance like I used to.
Johnsfolly Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I bet the meat was wormy! I passed on catching one that size because of the worms. Settled for catching some 10 inchers instead. Then let them all go. grizwilson and Chief Grey Bear 2
