After a few months the corners of the box curl up and you need to get a new one, but they are only $2.50 each. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Plano_3450_6_Compartment_Stowaway/descpage-P34506.html dtrs5kprs 1
fishinwrench Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 The only other person I know that has this problem is my daughter, and her "thing" is that she worries about the glue setting up immediately and doesn't put the cap back on right away. I put the cap back on immediately before doing anything else and never have any clogs. The glue won't set up until you compress it, so it is ok to take 2 seconds to put the cap on. dtrs5kprs and grizwilson 2

This is what I do also, Have some in the boat (usually have 3-4 around various spots in boat) from last year work fine???? I have often glued my lips, as have the bait in left hand, dot of glue with right, hold cap in mouth, close lid, shove bait up.... “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I put the cap back on right away and it always is clogged up. Twist real tight to break the seal again and then it oozes out all over.

I would offer to show you my successful system but that would jinx me and it would never work again.... just reading this thread may cause me to over think it .... oh no! fishinwrench Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I don't know what to say. Some people just have a way of screwing up everything and can't even be trusted with a tube of toothpaste. It may be a curse. Champ188, dtrs5kprs and BilletHead 3
Members C Beach Posted June 15, 2017 Author Members Posted June 15, 2017 Wow great response. I would say its comforting to know I'm not the only having issues with the stuff, but not so much, hah! I have been doing the prerig and putting them in the little plano box that curls up as mentioned, which seems to work OK - prerigging a bunch at home like that is the one way to get the most out of a tube of the glue. Thanks all for the responses. I will make sure to remember to close it up right away and see if that helps.

With me it is lawn mowers. You could loan me a perfectly good QUALITY lawn tractor and I'll have that thing torn all to hell in a matter of minutes. Totally refuse to work on one also, so when they explode I just hop off and walk away. They (the mowers) are the haters, they hate me and personally I don't have time for their cranky fickleness. At least when I work on a boat there is a positive payoff (somebody gets to go fishing!),. But when you work on a mower the only payoff is.....Oh Yay, now I get to MOW THE DAM YARD. Pizz on that!
