No news to anyone that knows Hog Wally, here is my two cents.  

We would all be better fisherman if we fished more often, like every day.  Well HW is a heck of a fisherman to begin with, then he is on the water almost every day.  These two things go together to make him great.  He catches more big smallies in a year then I will catch in a life time.  Way to go my friend.

Thanks Scott, that means a lot to me.  Here's a funny.  The electrofishing guys last summer said they didn't shock any walleye up.  Said it was a rare fish to find on the meramec.  I caught one on my first cast yesterday.  I catch em 9 out of 10 times I fish for em.   We have a decent population imo.   Could be better though.  It's hard for people to release em.  I only kept one today cause I gill hooked it.

There are a ton of Walleye in the Mississippi River in St. Louis. They can make their way up the Meramec pretty easy
