Pat Magee
Since I know many of you on here pay attention to fishing gear that goes up for sale, I figured I would throw this out there..... Some time between 6pm yesterday and 7am today, my car was broken into. Initially I thought all they did was take some money I had in my console but when I opened the back of my Jeep, I noticed they stole all of my tackle bags and boxes. I had just made some plans to take my kayak out on Wednesday and had started packing my car for the trip to the river earlier that day. I had a Spiderwire tackle bag, 2 Bass Mafia bait coffins, a couple waterproof Plano boxes, and a Browning binder filled to the gills with soft plastics. Like most of you on here, I have spent a lifetime accumulating all this tackle and had quite a lot invested in everything. I am thankful I took all my rods and reels in to re-spool so they didn't get pinched along with everything else, but if anyone spots someone selling a bunch of higher end tackle, please give me a shout. I know the police have better things to do so I am trying to do what I can. Lock your monkey dodo up fellas. These bums will take whatever. Guess it is time for some security cams! Greasy B
Bummer, it's not likely but I hope you get your stuff back. Where I grew up and worked most of my life your car window was as good as broken if you so much as left pocket change on the car seat. That lesson as served me well now that every neighborhood is like that. Daryk Campbell Sr 1 His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
Pat Magee
I remain somewhat hopeful. I wouldn't know where to start fencing all of that tackle!

Pat Magee
This is my first time, I always though it would never happen to me. Over time I will replace all of this stuff but it still doesn't give you back your piece of mind.
timinmo
Pat watch Craig's list and E-bay. Unfortunately I don't think you can expect much help from the police, like you said they have other things to worry about. Tell them there was 2 handguns and a 8-ball of Cuban snow in the tackle bag, that'll get them to look into it with a bit more enthusiasm. Gavin
Trip to Ontario years ago. Had my Jeep stolen out of my buddies driveway. Found wrecked on St Louis Ave in the murder zone. Only 2 car break ins since then. Sucks when it happens. Usually once every couple years. Most just pop doors to see if it is unlocked. Will break your glass for 25 cents worth of change. Leave nothining.
snagged in outlet 3
That sux! Watch Craigslist is about all you can do. Spread the word in your neighborhood too. Our neighborhood has an app for your phone called Nextdoor. Twice in the past two months someone has posted about car or garage break-ins to warn others. Within one day several people had the perpetrators on camera all over the place and posted the pics on the app. They even tracked them through different neighborhoods with time stamps from their cameras and doorbells with cameras. Cops had both groups within 2 days. I've been thinking of getting one. Pat Magee
