More fun than Squirrels and way easier to clean.  Dinosaurs at 25-35-45 yds.

         Pretty neat Glen,

Way back when we were using green and grey army men. If you had a tank or jeep you were special. The enemy had a half track unit. We had some major battles. Back then it was politically correct to do this and we turned out great. Used our daisy lever guns and went to town. When we got done we checked out the carnage to see the dimples left in the plastic men. When I got my pump gun that shot bb's ,pellets and even darts you could blow off appendages. Fun times.

Sweetie pie threw a Christmas party yesterday and me and all the guys and older kids spent the whole day out shooting dinosaurs in the back yard.  Finally after none of us would come inside someone brought us out a big plate of mini-corndogs.  After eating a few one of the guys looks at me and says "You thinking what I'm thinking?"

Next thing ya know we are being yelled at from the porch, because they sent those out there for us to EAT !

Mini corndogs are the best exploding targets ever.  Orion had fun cleaning up the aftermath.  B)

Haha.  Looks like its been fun for ya wrench. I havent shot for a few weeks now. Sold one of the guns to a friend. Looked at a pcp at BP friday. Just cant talk myself into it still even after going back to it that day 3 times.  Since all of mine are .177, i am going to pick up a .22 this week.  Narrowed it down to 3 models.

BH we never had those types of battles. I did build a lot of warship and airplane models when I was a teen. After about 6 to 9 months I would get bored or want to build a new one, but didn't have a place to display the new one. So I would load up an old model with sterno or firecrackers. If it was a boat, I would light it up and drift the boat out onto a local pond and watch it burn and then get blown to bits. Airplanes would get a similar treatment, except that I would string them up and "fly" them before they would blow up. We also would fill nylon stocking eggs with sterno and CO2 cartridges. They would burn, blow up, and put out the fire with the CO2.

A lot of fun at the time, but likely an environmental hazard.

I can't seem to get interested in the PCP guns, not yet anyway.  Even though one of the guys I was shooting with yesterday is a fireman and he told me that he could charge cylinders for me anytime I wanted, no problem.  Just seems like a huge hassle.

So which .22 is gonna get the nod? :)

I got set up for night activity. Works great on the Swarm. IMG_20171217_212851956_LL~2.jpg

Sweet looking light.  Wanting to add a bi-pod to the new addition.

My 3 choices are the Hatsan 125th in 25 cal.  Love everything about that gun.

Next is the Hatsan 135 in 22 cal.  Another great gun with good reviews.

3rd choice is the Gamo Magnum in 22cal.  The reviews on this gun are excellent. Few talk about barrel drop, having to shim it. Not inpressed with that.  They say it hits like a truck.

Im liking the first choice above alot.  Im going to pickup one this week, so need to decide

Oh hell yeah!  The .25 Hatsan would be a serious dinosaur crusher.

800fps with a 20gr. is wicked stout.   I want one of those too.  Better do some serious scope research for that badass, I bet it can kill a scope fast.

The thing that would push me toward the Gamo mag. is the gas ram.   I'm pretty sure I like those way more than springers.  Not effected by temperature and you can't hurt it by leaving it cocked and ready.  That's huge for me.  But I don't like the thumbhole stock and they REALLY should put the 10X system on it.... that's the best thing about the Swarm, no issues at all with that, it's great.

The Leapers 3-9x40AO True Hunter is supposed to be built like a tank and rated for magnum springers.  It's gonna be my choice when this Gamo 3-9x50 scope either bites the dust, or I get sick of fuzzy dinosaurs when they are over 35 yards.
