Kind of a weird name but, then, I'm not too sure what I was expecting.

Don't know about the Legend rumor.  It was my understanding that they were going it alone with a brand new factory and approach from the very beginning.

In fact, the new state of the art factory was part of the announcement and if they're gonna have models ready to display in time for the Classic it must be pretty much a done deal and pretty much fully operational.

Wonder how Johnny felt about them hosting the announcement next door to his Ranger plant?  Might have been a not so thinly veiled attempt to give him a little poke in the eye?

Bottom line, more competition can't be bad for us consumers and they certainly have a great amount of credibility in the business.

Flippin's gonna have to build more houses and infrastructure to accommodate Bass Boat City USA!

Website is full of buzz words and marketing for sure. No pictures or model portfolio to be found....

hopefully they are friendly to multiple outboards and buck the current trend. I’ve owned most other than Suzuki and I’m open to look at those. My favorite outboard is the one with the cowl latches dusty from leaving them alone...

Spoke with a gentleman about a Ranger 198P aluminum for my kids to start learning to run.... He's seven miles from the Ranger factory and as he was pricing a boat I asked him about the "rumor" of a new company and he said "they're doing the ribbon cutting as we speak".  I wondered aloud how many current employees at Ranger may jump ship and go to the other side and he said it's already happening. Not sure that means much to Ranger, but.......Should be good times around Flippin.  I hope they are successful and open the market up.  Never was a fan of complete control over any one type of product. It will be neat to see another brand and style.

Yep, that’s a weird name for a boat company IMHO

I understand the dusty cowl latch comment, but my very reliable ETEC has to be fed (at long intervals!) a bit of oil, and I reach the reservoir under the cowl.

I have 4strokes on a pontoon and a duck boat that force me to check the oil annually 🙂 under the cowl.... and I drain the carbs after duck season on my Honda.

Ya gotta look under that cowling from time to time because some really crazy things happen in there.  I've found snake skins, live snakes, mice, rats, dead birds, wasp and mud dauber nests, spiders, enough feathers to stuff a pillow, fish hooks and split shot, worm weights, plastic lizards and Senkos, ant colony's, piles of dog food, piles of acorns.... You name it.

I live pretty happily under those cowlings so it shouldn't surprise anyone that all sorts of other despicable critters will gladly take up residence there as well. :)
