Daryk Campbell Sr Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Just for arguments sake, we have armidillo in St Louis. They aren't supposed to be able to survive our climate. But they are here. fishinwrench Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 What would be the reasoning behind stocking Threadfins? Biologists probably think that a greater percentage of Threadfins will help feed crappie and juvenile bass, but all this mixing and blending of fish species, by man, is not needed. Fish should be left to adapt naturally. The introduction of threadfin probably hurts the natural minnow and insect population that would otherwise keep smaller fish fed throughout the year. Coating the bottom of the lake with shad poop isn't any better than having the bottom covered in algae, so WTF is it that makes them think they are doing anything beneficial? If it was up to me I'd fire all but about a dozen of them, and reduce the funding of those remaining enough that the only thing they are studying are the things that truly matter. There are too many biologists out there trying to justify their phoney baloney jobs. And most of them are doing more harm than good IMO. Royal Blue 1

You guys are just too scientific for me. Shoot I will not eat tilapia the ones I see in the store look and smell too much like gizzard shad to me. 13 minutes ago, snagged in outlet 3 said: I won't eat them just because they scam us into thinking it's some kind of exotic fish. I'll never eat those nasty things. That and they are raised in polluted ponds like farm raised shrimp. . What a place. This started with a shad kill to shad ID and where they live to tilapia. , Still waiting for a positive ID of a threadfin from LOZ. Come on guys lets keep on track here and now armadillos? We need cold weather to stop them and I mean cold. So they break their little noses trying to root in the frozen ground for something to eat. May sound mean but I hope they freeze to death, each and everyone of them. That or stay out of my yard. I heard at the swap meet the MDC dropped armadillos about the same time they air dropped timber rattlesnakes, copperheads and cottonmouths. . Let the conspiracy theories resume. BilletHead. Are you seriously doubting that they are here ? That's rediculous. Did you know that there are Musky, Northern Pike, Brook trout, Aligator gar, Piranha, and a White bass sub-species that has yet to be identified in here also ? BilletHead 1

Employ them at hatcheries to raise Florida strain largies to stock TR and Bull.
