I think most of us are in similar situations with songs.

I heard an old NPR interview where he said he was an actor acting like a singer. I'd have to agree. Nevertheless, he definitely had a hook. I didn't care for his stuff when released, but it grew on me.

If you haven't heard The Chieftrains with Jagger covering Lefty Frizzell's "Long Black Veil," take a listen. It's great.

Also, I grew up listening to these guys from my grandma and aunt. I've loved them ever since. Folksy and somewhat corny, but I like em lol.

Love the Chieftains for a long time and really like Jaggers Long Black Veil.
