slothman Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 I have to say, as a former whitewater kayak instructor, that is awesome.

The work Kayak has about lost its meaning now that everyone and their brother has one. My Brother and i used to be into whitewater, and we loved it when it would flood. I sold mine last year. He still has his little playboat. I was old school and had a Mr. Clean for years, and a Wave Sport Stubby. You didnt get in those kayaks you had to put them on slothman 1

Some of the best summers of my life. I sold all my kayak stuff shortly after getting married (I do still have some of my cheaper old paddles for some reason). I realized that I wouldn’t be going to make those 12 hour trips east or west to get into the “good” water. I decided to make room in the garage. I now have a ‘92 Champion where my kayaking stuff once lived. Royal Blue 1

Even though they have a lot of room, I think they are far less comfortable than the whitewater boats in been in where you cram yourself in and your legs fall asleep in no time. Kinda like the difference between a fitted suit and something “off the rack” I guess. Sit-on-tops are ok, but I’d rather just use a canoe at that point. aarchdale@coresleep.com 1
