laker67 Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 "Laker" is the mascot name for Camdenton high school and "67" was the year I graduated. During a 30 year reunion get together, we had hats made that read Laker67. I used that name when I first joined Phil's website, the "Conservation Cafe" and continued on to this site. Another great topic Ness. Thanks to all that contribute. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
Blll Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Parents blessed me with the name Walter Harry Borg 3rd. My grandpa lived until he was 92 so there were plenty of times Grandpa, Dad and myself would be together. If someone called "Walter" all 3 of us would respond. Just became easier at family functions to be called "B3" or Blll. Lots of guys think I'm just mis-typing Bill but nope, its Blll. Proud of my name but it did cause issues in the past. Carried on the tradition and there was a B4 but sadly he's gone too. Just me, Blll. KLiK, Daryk Campbell Sr and ness 3
Coosa Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Great Thread! Shortly After I bought my first kayak i joined this forum. Bought a coosa and made my screen name coosa. I've always hated it and wished I would have used BarkBuster like I have with all my other 2 screen names. I've tried doing an avatar multiple times with no luck Bass Yakker and Daryk Campbell Sr 2

I was not a third since I have a diffferent middle name than my father and grandfather. At those gatherings there was Bud (grandfather), Jackie (my dad) and Johnny (myself). My oldest daughter Jackie is actually named after my father. Sorry about your son.

Yeah, I was ness over there too. When did that thing shut down? I know it was a few years before I joined up here. John
netboy Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 I got the nickname Netboy from previous flounder fishing trips during the fall runs on the Texas coast. Usually 4 of us in my boat and when fishing for flounder the standard method is to count 20 Mississippi's after the flounder takes the bait and then set the hook. Seemed like someone always had a flounder "on count" and they would yell "Oh Netboy, get ready". Sometimes we would have 2 or 3 "on count" at the same time. I didn't get much fishing in myself on those days but still had lots of fun. Daryk Campbell Sr, Johnsfolly, Bass Yakker and 1 other 4
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 Mine is my name pronounced Derek. My avatar is a picture of the mug I bought as a souveniere from the Hoover Dam. Since I'm not the best looking guy around, I took a picture of my mug which says "this is my dam mug". So it's kind of a play on words. (Mugshot) bfishn, WhateversBitin, KLiK and 3 others 5 1 Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me) I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)
