Is it as busy as the main portion of the lake.....No. However, remember there is a lot less surface area in the area from Shell Knob bridge up. 3-4 Boats zig-zagging pulling tubers, skiers, ect take up a lot of water it seems in an area like Arrow Point or Viney Creek and make it seem incredibly tight quartered.

there is no such thing as a quiet area.  you destroyed your thought of that when you mentioned tubing.  that ends any quiet areas instantly.  sorry.

Shell Knob is extremely BUSY.  As someone mentioned thinner water, but really just as much traffic and bigger traffic.   That is the Wake Boat Capitol of Table Rock Lake.  We have homes at Shell Knob and also at Blue Eye across from Big Cedar and I have tackled both for 40 plus years and just don't do it any longer.  Boats are bigger and people are worse drivers.

Shell Knob sets the record for this.  Out earlier, out later and complete insanity.

As far as I'm concerned the only decent part of the lake on any holiday is from Point 9 to point 17.  At times and I mean times you can get by ok.  Shell knob from the Bridge to Owl and from the Bridge to Baxter is boated, wake boarded and skied early and often.

Come the weekend after the holiday and you will have the entire lake to yourself.

Good Luck

is that mostly in the main sections up by kimberling and whatnot or is the whole lake a racetrack on holidays?

From end to end and side to side ... 50 miles of mayhem. They’ll run thru the dang standing timber in coves hardly big enough to turn around in towing their spawn in a tube.

And then you have to contend with the boaters who decide that the middle of the channel is where they want to stop the boat, jump in the water and just drift. Crazy!!!

Or have their kid fall off the tube and forget they are back there and leave the kid in the channel right in front of the 86 bridge while dad drives over to Long Creek Marina.  I told him "I think you lost something"

Big M and Rock Creek were bad enough last year that I lobbied friends to try Stockton this year. I'm not sure it will be any better, but I'm really hoping for less drama on the south (upper?) end. When you're tying on an old crankbait to snag the guy doing figure eights beside you off his jet ski, fishing is no longer therapeutic.

Please don't come to Stockton. It's so crowded. There is so many boats there now that when you launch a boat another one pops out of the water like a watermelon seed. And the only fish there is a walleye with bad teeth and a carp with a eye missing.   😜😜😜 lol

Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???B)

Well, the reservation has been made, so I guess I'll be throwing soft baits. 😎
