Fine in a glass boat.  Just watch it if you try to run the lock upstream.  Need some good water for that.  And some HP.

Quite a few guys do it.   Not me!   

You really need to learn that river before you just run it.  Lots of places where it goes from 8 feet to 10 inches real quick.

I hit a lot of rivers I’ve never been to before.  First trip always on a sunny day around noon.  You get a good look at what you’re dealing with.  6:30 am on a cloudy day.  Get your wallet out 😁.  Heck even places I’ve been to many times and have had high water recently, gravel can move around more than you think.  Trust me on this one.  Spent this morning knee deep fixing a little issue I had.

They can be.  We were trying to throw bass bugs in the slack water sloughs and in little eddys a couple years ago, but the Asian carp were around those areas too and they'd spook, creating a huge ruckus, and spook the bass.   Just the fly line landing on the water would cause them to explode.   They are a PIA

Looks like a useful tool.  Price isn't horrible, especially if it saves the day.
