Nice little juvenile brown!  I caught several of those last weekend.  Once you find one you can usually catch several.  They must school up.  I'll be out tonight hoping for something big!

Hey if you are around tonight I'll shoot ya a PM with my number if you'd like to meet up.

Now I'm jealous ! If I caught a little one it would still fulfill my goal. Congrats on some great fishing thus far! I hope that I win the Doty special sculpin so that I can use that when I get a chance to get down to Taney.

Sorry buddy... I still owe you a brownie... Duane's sculpin pattern is money!

So fished till 230 out of fshndoug's stealth craft last night.   I fished mostly jigs and jerk baits.

We had a decent night.   Fish were not on fire, but had good company.

I'll do another entry for today and this afternoon in a bit.

So that was you guys I saw a little while ago... sorry I didn't recognize you all.  I actually thought it was another guy, a local.  I struggled out there this evening.

I made it till 11:00 last night.  I was a bit above Jester and there were several people between us, so I couldn’t get down to them.  My tally was a 20 and 22 inch rainbow, three small browns, a small smallie, and half a dozen small rainbows.  Black/purple, and red/purple were my colors.

Congrats @CLoyd on some nice trout!

You guys, @JestersHK, @fshndoug, @duckydoty are starting to give me the idea that instead of trying for a fall turley that I should make the run down to Taney instead!

I know a spot close by that holds some turkeys. Fish all night, hunt all day.

May have to keep that in mind! First idea was to hunt up in north MO on a friends farm but that may be getting sketchy due to my son's work schedule. May PM you if that plan falls through.

Well I made it back home.  Finished last night with CLoyd and it was tough fishing for me anyways. I threw stick baits and nothing else.   We started by outlet 2 then moved up to the cable,  then went down past rebar.  I had a few hooked that came off, a few good hits that just didn't hook up, and a real solid rainbow was it for me.  CLoyd had better luck on his flyrod, but all together a slow night for us anyways.

Overall was an average trip for me.  Caught fish, but no monsters for me.  That fish on the first morning is still haunting me...

I did get to meet 2 more forum folks and make some new fishing buddies.  Thanks a lot @fshndoug and @CLoyd it was a pleasure fishing with both of you,  and always good to put a name to a face.

Good fishing with you too!  We'll have to do it again.

It was definitely a tough night.  We sure tried hard though.  Jester had some really good looking jerkbaits, and I pulled out every color my fly box could muster and we didn't come up with much.  I guess that's just the way it goes sometimes.
