Members BassPastor Posted October 10, 2018 Members Posted October 10, 2018 Hey Folks! First time poster, long time lurker here on the boards. I'm in the KC area but fish Tablerock as much as possible as I have access to a family condo on the lake in Hollister. I'm down there later this week Thursday-Tuesday. I'll be fishing out of my dinky little 16' aluminum boat with a Johnson 35 hp (It's not much but it's paid for and gets me on the water). Just wanted to throw out there that if anyone is fishing out of their bass boat and wouldn't mind a buddy I'd love to tag along on a more able boat. I always love fishing with other folks and learning something along the way. I have all my own gear and I'm more than happy fishing from the back. Of course would be willing to chip in for gas. Staying on the lower end near State Park Marina. Hoping for a great fall of fishing and lots of tight lines! (Pic from earlier this summer) magicwormman, Daryk Campbell Sr and BilletHead 3
snagged in outlet 3 Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 That boat would be fine on Taney.

Haha well it is appreciated as it is the only thing that gets me fishing unless I can bum a seat on my dad's boat. Counting the months until I can get a proper bass boat and into tournament fishing. That being said, my wife and I just welcomed our first little guy, so who knows how long that will be. My wife and I didn't exactly choose the best careers to support expensive hobbies such as bass fishing (She's a teacher, I'm a pastor) Everything has a price! I was given the boat and "rebuilt" it into a little bass machine. I'm a newbie to the trout game, but always love to learn. I tried a bit this summer while kayaking the upper end of Taney, but had little luck.

Bill Babler Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 Would not have wanted to be on the Rock this morning in anything other than a big 20' deep V Lund type boats or the big 22' bass rigs, as far as fishing boats. Temps this morning when we started were 78 degree and at 8 AM the winds switched South West and were howling with the air at 61 degree that happened in a 1.5 hr. span. 3 footers out in front of the dam and at the Combs Ferry Point going down that South stretch toward point 5 they were rolling at least 4' I turned around. Pretty tough morning with the fronts. 8 fish total with 7 keepers. Fish are still at 30' and all on the jig, but man it was touch fishing from a trampoline. Could not keep the trolling motor in the water. Surface temps at 76.5 Be careful out there Ranger Z22, evilcatfish, 176champion and 1 other 4 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Members BassPastor Posted October 11, 2018 Author Members Posted October 11, 2018 Thanks @Bill Babler. Doesn't look to be the greatest of conditions this weekend either. Our condo is at Vickery Resort which is in the southern cove of the State Park Marina point. Good news is that if the conditions are really bad there are plenty of fish to be caught in that cove alone. Just wish we could fish the docks. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
