oneshot Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Well last night the Hatchery Manager made it a point to say they are releasing same size of Trout as ever. I know I don't believe last few years they have been stocking the river as in the past. From what was said they are going to try and save the Bridge down at the far end if not making it better for safety reasons. But they are going to do away with the Pool, thing is I believe people camping there being a State Park they expect a Pool. oneshot snagged in outlet 3 1

How sure are they on the pool thing? I use that as part of my sales pitch to lure the family down when I need an outing. Probably not anyone on here's main concern, but the seven year old REALLY likes to go swim after we fish in the morning..... Daryk Campbell Sr 1

My kids enjoy it too because they can just ride their bikes there, and they always make friends and then have someone new to hang out with. Keeps them from constantly bickering amongst themselves all week/weekend. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Without the pool for my family my trips would’ve been cut in half over the years. And when I was a kid it was the best thing about Bennet.
Quillback Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Speaking of useless information, I just decided to look up the origin of the name Missouri. Missouri gets its name from a tribe of Sioux Indians of the state called the Missouris. The word "Missouri" often has been construed to mean "muddy water" but the Smithsonian Institution Bureau of American Ethnology has stated it means "town of the large canoes," and authorities have said the Indian syllables from which the word comes mean "wooden canoe people" or "he of the big canoe." fishinwrench, BilletHead, Daryk Campbell Sr and 1 other 4

They said because of the filtration system, it is messing up the Drinking water on one well, plus said the concrete is busting up. They seemed to be clear as to shutting down the pool. oneshot

If they couldn't afford to feed the fish they were originally capable of producing then WTH did they need a bigger-better hatchery for, I wonder.
