I didn't know that. Could be a serious benefit with a couple kids.....The bulk of my travels starts and ends in regional airports where security is pretty easy so I just haven't seen a huge need yet but likely will at some point.

Only works if you check in together.....  I love pre-check - like others I travel a lot for work and it makes airports less stressful, for me at least.  I absolutely hate the get undressed/dressed/juggle your laptop/ all while jumping on one leg and moving with a herd.....

If you get TSAA Pre check your family gets it when they fly with you too.

I looked into it a couple of months ago but didn't see the need. Heck it's harder to go in the store and get a cup of coffee than make it through security.

I check my bag too!! Oh the horror.

If the person booking the tickets is TSA Pre Check then all family members will get a Pre Check Ticket so it doesn't matter if the check in together.  At least that's been my experience.

I am glad so many are like Wrench and don't fly, makes it easier for me to get through security and less crowded planes.  Besides I like to people watch in airports, carry on nothing more than a back pack with a book or something.  Even when luggage is lost I like to be the last guy in line at the lost luggage dept.  Poor person there has the worst job in the airport, getting yelled at for something they had nothing to do with but are going out of their way to fix.  Once they fed ex ed some dirty laundry from KC two hours south the next day, another they really wanted to give me some vouchers to go buy some clothes because it would be after midnight when they sent it to my hotel by taxi.  Actually I thin Wrench would be a blast as the lost luggage counter person, as long as its all on video.

I guess I don't see it as hard enough to spend the money....yet. Slip off shoes, pull out laptop. Other than the phone and passport everything is in my carry on until I'm through security anyway. The only time I'm ever the hold up in the line is when I'm the only one in the line.

My biggest pet peeve is the rat race to get on the airplane with assigned seating and the rat race to get off. I really think they should board from the back to the front just like you get off.

Even with two laptops and a iPad it's simple. I go outta my way to try to only fly Southwest to reduce the seating hassle. Sit in the back, earphones in, movie on. Half the time I don't even realize that we have left the ground.

I have a knee that’s been operated on about 47 times. No extra hardware but it is almost twice the size of the other. They always want to check that out. Even that only takes a few seconds.

Well it's a good thing I don't fly because I've got something that's twice as big as everybody else's, and I don't want them messing with it.

My pet peeve is people driving their kids about 100 feet to the school bus stop.  And sitting there idling while waiting for the bus to come.  Then repeating when the bus drops the kid off.

They do that because the news tells us the world is a lot more dangerous place than it was back in the good old days.  But they could just as better walk with them and hang out until the bus comes.
