So, does 50 miles really make a difference.  Looks like the same weather going to hit both places on NWS.

They keep changing on us here.  Was going to start Friday here, now noon on Sat with brunt on Sat nite and Sun.  But it is still up in air since they can't seem to get a prediction right within a 3 hour time frame.

MAN! I am so wishing I wasn't going to Colorado on that elk hunt this weekend now. I'm dying to go fishing and put the new Ultrex to use and I'm always down for hitting up Taneycomo and meeting other forum members.

I think the other reason was the turnover of the lakes and the water quality was not looking good.  I agree that both places are gonna get some snow...

Hopng is not as bad as they are calling for.

Good luck on your elk hunt. A bit jealous. My first and last trip was a bust on seeing elk. Found a decent skeletonized 5 by 5 that I brought home the antlers. It's been almost 6 yrs ago. Can't either put away the money or make the time to get back out west.

Anyway good luck again and like @JestersHK said looking forward to the report.

This is just a cow hunt so essentially it's a long, glorified trip for some groceries. :D As long as there is enough snow to push down to where we will be hunting, it shouldn't be too difficult to get on some cows and fill a tag. I'm still sending in and saving points for a good bull hunt one of these years. Right now I have around a dozen points for Colorado for elk and mule deer.

Just about finally loaded up and gonna leave around 1... Been battling a cold since last Friday but I'm going to soldier through it... On plenty of drugs and not contagious so there's that!  Might actually make me take a break or two this weekend lol

Wife's been busy and made a cheesecake, some brownies, and 2 kinds of muffins.  We'll prolly stop on the way in and grab groceries too so if anyone needs anything let me know.

Prolly get in around 6ish or so depending on the roads and weather.  Can't wait to get in the water tonight!  This group is super pumped to get down there.  See you guys soon.
