I don't trust them either but i am content with my decision to stay home.  I've gotten away with enough in life already and don't take the same risks i used to.  I was happy doing what i was doing at home compared to sitting in a ditch with truck and boat waiting on help while regretting making the trip.  Granted it didn't snow like it was supposed to but i think you catch my drift. Personally i would make the same call again with what the forecast called for on wednesday.

I spent a lifetime working or managing others working outdoors.  My takeaway when it comes to weather is adjust to what's actually occurring.  If I had called off jobs every time the weatherman said boo I'd need to work another ten years.

Heck I feel that exact same way even on beautiful sunny days with nothing evil forcasted at all.   Throw in a sketchy forcast and I'm even happier to not cross a county line all day. 😊

And minus all that stress you'd be in good enough shape to handle 10 more years.....and then some. 👍🤙

I sold some piles for a job in Willston ND.  I-85 bridge over the Missouri River.  They started driving them in the fall, 100'ers.  I had rail cars going up there in January and I asked the PM if they'll take more since the weather was brutal.  He said: "yeah, keep em coming.  We only stop driving them if the wind is over 30 MPH or we can't see the top of the crane due to white out conditions"
