Johnsfolly Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 Used to catch one or two bats each summer during grad school. Never had such a time like these folks. Now the flying squirrel. That was a comedy for sure.
BilletHead Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 I think it is pretty funny Wrench , I have been accused of having bats in my belfry. BilletHead Jr. is in pest control. Bass Pro called his employer for a bat in the store. He responded with an extendable pole with a mouse sticky trap on the end got the bat caught. High ceilings prevented netting the little rodent. He did his best to clean the bat and released it. Bats are cool. Last week on the warmest day we had there was one that warmed up enough he was out hunting in the late afternoon. I wouldn't doubt he may be out this afternoon again if it gets as warm as predicted. Our liquor cabinet needed a cleaning/thinning out, and some remnants (like So-Co, Malibu, ect.) just got dumped or thrown away, but the Turkey wasn't so bad as to warrant that so I disposed of it more respectfully. Back in the very back was an empty bottle of Makers with all the plastic torn off the top. 😂 snagged in outlet 3 1

Raemi asked why I kept it and I told her that it reminded me of who my real friends are. Amber had just started college and a few other setbacks had left me completely broke, I think I only had like 16.00 in the bank and it was during the middle of Winter. You, Kevin and Cricket showed up with a bottle of whiskey and a couple of frozen pizza's. We tied flys, got drunk and had lots of laughs (which was a huge stress reliever for me at the time). After y'all left I found the 200.00 in my toilet paper roll that kept the lights on around here until I managed to get back on my feet. 🤗 Raemi asked if she could throw it away and I said "yeah". I don't need that bottle to remind me, I couldn't forget if I wanted to. JestersHK, Deadstream, Johnsfolly and 3 others 6

BilletHead Anything above 42° brings out the honey bee's and the faux Lady bugs around here. Some days thick enough that a bat could make a living.
