Since Thursday starting at about Noon, to this minute we have had 5,5 inches of rain here at the Lodge.  Not all has been warm as it was 39 and raining at 0500 this morning.  Be interesting to see if it clouds and raises the temps in the creeks and moves the deep fish.  Lake level has not changed much at this point.

Several  years ago when we got all those December rains, the deep fish deal  was just getting started really good like it is now, and in a matter of a day or two they were totally gone with the temps raising into the middle 50's and the water becoming a lovely chocolate brown.  That was the end of it.

Going to be out all this coming week, weather permitting and it will be interesting to see if there is movement and where they go.

Just have a feeling that A-rig bite will start in earnest and not stop.  Already hearing reports from the couple of nice days we had last week that there were some Biggens caught on it out of Cedars

Good Luck

Wow, you got a lot more rain up there than we got down here.  I think around 6/10th's of an inch total here.

But, have to like the forecast for next week, I am also planning on fishing as much as I can, but may be fishing Beaver and the Bella Vista lakes in addition to TR.

Yeah go ahead and get those bigguns out of my way, I don't want them interfering with the Ned rig bite.  🙂

5.5 Inches ?  You're not that far away and here at Baxter I recorded less than 0.67" over the last two days and an additional 0.17" this morning before the clouds broke.

We only got 2.  May be someone is messing with your rain gauge.

My uncle messed with my grandfather way back when... he always bragged about how great gas mileage his pinto used to get.  My uncle started putting gas in his tank at night... then started taking it out.  Really had him going for a while.

We have some guest that just got here that said they had 6 inches at Omaha Ark the last 3 days.  Also have a set that came in from Harrison Ark. last nite and they had 4 inches there.

We are kind of rain gauge junkies and have two one in the front drive and one on the deck.  Both of them had 5.5 so I think that is pretty accurate.

I was still in KC but wasn't that the year the lake rose a bunch like maybe 10 ft or more and stayed up there into the spring/summer.
