JUNGLE JIM 1 Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 I plan on throwing these in the Meramec once it warms up a little for hybrid stripers, love how hard they pull. I lost several of them last year when the hooks pulled out so I made these with 4/0 Trokar jig hooks using craft hair, saddle hackle and a little flash. timinmo, snagged in outlet 3, Bass Yakker and 4 others 7
Flysmallie Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 Those look really nice. I need some of those to throw in the gulf. snagged in outlet 3 and JestersHK 2
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 Where at in the river? I plan to Make up for some lost time this year. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. JUNGLE JIM 1 Posted March 1, 2019 Author Posted March 1, 2019 I fish the lower Meramec usually where small creeks feed into it. I've caught them out of several different spots which are open to the public fishing from the bank. I use hair jigs first, then the blade baits and then topwaters once it gets warm enough. snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 I've bought Jim's jigs and they are legit!!
fishinwrench Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 Those look sexy. Nice job! Test them against THESE on the same Jighead....just for kicks.
Old plug Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 That works down here Wrench I know. But for the most part I do not catch my best Hybrid very shallow. Hey Wrench I just poured several pounds of that lead mix I made those real shiny heads out of you liked. Let me know if you want more. fishinwrench 1
timinmo Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 I am also the proud owner of several of Jim's jigs. They are absolutely great and the workmanship is outstanding. snagged in outlet 3 and Daryk Campbell Sr 2
Gavin Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 Those look really nice! In Webster, have boats and a tow vehicle. Would love to chase some hybrids on the lower Meramec! Daryk Campbell Sr 1
