they are a freaking blast to catch! You should try it at least once.

Oh Chiefy, I'm 55 years old and have owned fishing poles for 51 of them.  I've caught carp on spincast gear, spinning gear, baitcasting gear, fly rods, trotlines, limb lines.... and I wanna say jugs too... but that might not be true.

Gar pull like hell too, and they even jump sometimes, but inspite of what appears to be "excitement" I'm just not into persuing them purposely.

I will, however, stand on the bank with a beer while YOU catch them, and tell you what you're doing wrong.  😊

Heck I would attend a blast at LOZ, to far and too cold for jigfest for me.  I will happily bring or donate a big ole pork loin for a smoker.  And catching carp is fun, but then so is drinking beer and harassing each other.

I would be in.  I enjoy catching any fish.  I have been known to target carp.  They put on a great fight.   I throw all fish back, I could care less the species.  I just want to catch.

Chief is the official smoker chef.   Unless he wants to stand behind me, drink beer, and tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Somebody needs to bring a bushel basket full of those morels y'all keep fussin' about.

Heck if I could find more than 10 at a time I would.  If all you need is someone to stand behind you, drink beer, and kibbutz your every move, then may I humbly submit my name for consideration.  I have learned well from my wife and think I am ready to go professional.

I am planning on a crappie trip this weekend to LOZ, just found out it is also BBB weekend.  I may need a hideout..  or may tuck my tail and slink back to Pomme.

I would love to catch something that size. My concern is where was it caught. Is it from a stocked pond with a feeding program. If that's the case how is that different to hunting a high fence "trophy" hunt? I understand that in this case the angler still has to get the fish to bite.

It's a carp. I think if you fed your dog the night before. You would have plenty of carp power bait the next morning...🙈🙉🙊

Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???B)
