Where to launch Saturday

That’s a valid point. I wish it was closer. It’s definitely a lake I wanna to get to know better. Mainly because of less traffic in general. I need to look up lodging down there so it could be a regular place for my family and I.

What are the dates and cuts? I can't see the cuts on their website. I am probably just not getting to the right place. 

 

I'm attempting to go tomorrow but was going to avoid Table Rock if there was a ton of Costa Guys. I would think 10 Costa would be doable around the other events/watchers/normal anglers though..

Diamond City is a pretty good place to stay.

We ended up going yesterday and I’m glad we did. Traffic was not a problem in the Shell Knob area. We caught 55+ fish and 14 keepers. My youngest caught his first five fish limit and my oldest had a nice 17” smallmouth as part of his three keepers. To top it off Braums had good burgers for us as we went back through Aurora. It was a much needed good day.

Lol I totally agree. I tend to over think the fun out of stuff. It’s probably because my boys are with me pretty much every trip now so it adds a different element to it. If it’s just you and a buddy then it makes the day a little easier and less hectic if that makes sense.

If you got good burgers at the Braum's Aurora, that's an even bigger surprise than a good day fishing.

Other than the being old part man I’m ready lol. The cranky part is coming along nicely. That’s a big motivator behind this topic haha! Traffic, getting cut off, not finding a spot to get in etc. I’ll put it this way, I’m kinda tired of hearing “grow the sport” but that’s probably the cranky old man developing.
