That's what I do, if it works I would fish with strips of my old underwear.

What they currently call a mop fly for trout was initially a Nike tennis lace.  That’s what we used back in the 80’s.

When nobody is watching I've  been known to hook a few monster gar with a fly rod.  I use rabbit zonker strips on gold panfish hooks with a BB shot.
