Very few of those and only 5 or 6 the entire event over 5, none over 6. I know it's a numbers deal, but the odds would just seem to point towards these guys stumbling into some big ones along the way. I guess all the big ones must have already moved off the bank or gone nocturnal? Or possibly those 4 & 5 were 6 Lbers before the had spawned out. I know a couple of the 4 Lbers wheeler has caught were long and skinny, def spawned out. Id say that will have a little to do with it.

I guess all the big ones must have already moved off the bank or gone nocturnal? Does that give you a hint at what our big bass population really is! I know these guys are mostly fishing shallow, as these active fish are so much easier to catch. Put 80 of the BEST fishermen in the world on the Rock and only catch a few over 4 lbs, should tell you what is going on. Smalliebigs, evilcatfish, Wart 57 and 1 other 4
liphunter Posted May 22, 2019 Posted May 22, 2019 Andy Montgomery is killing it so far this morning. Lots of fishing left... evilcatfish 1 Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???
evilcatfish Posted May 22, 2019 Posted May 22, 2019 This showdown between Martens and Montgomery has been pretty entertaining. Ive always liked Aaron but both seem like good dudes magicwormman and Seth 2
m&m Posted May 22, 2019 Posted May 22, 2019 And it is interesting that they are fishing so differently. Martens is drop shotting and Montgomery is flippin a creature bait shallow. 20 minutes left Mike Champ188 1

I was watching on day 1 or 2 when they had the screen split among 4 anglers, all were fishing very differently, yet they all were catching em' consistently m&m 1
