Saw about 20 boats practicing between Kimberling City and Baxter yesterday. I talked to a few and ALL were very friendly! Most said they were struggling to catch quality fish. Good luck to all of them! This morning only 2 boats headed up the James. I still think the Baxter are will produce the best.

Only 1 fish over 5# so far, I figured there might be more, but I guess this is a quantity game anyway. Definitely enjoying the bit that I can watch

And that folks is how good these MLF guys are.  Show up at a lake and catch 50 plus fish in a 6 hour period.  Don't you wish your vacation trips were like that!!!!!

From what I saw the top guys were flipping the flooded bushes/wood with either a jig or a shakyhead worm for the most part. Some were picking some up on a jerkbait on the outside of those bushes. Wiggins caught most of his quality fish up shallow on a Plopper.

Tharp was catching some good ones on a jig and lost one he estimates in the six range.

Vinsons average was a fish every 8 minutes. Impressive. Look at the cut weight at 20th place as well.

Well I sure picked up some ideas from watching today, only watched about an hour total, but learned a few things.
