I dropped the 2k on an Ultrex this past winter and my only regret so far was not doing it sooner! I'm a cheapskate too and it takes a lot to talk me in to dropping that kind of coin on something.

I got to watch his second day when he had the big lead. He was able to just graph all day and only fished a little. From his comments I knew he was very confident in finishing strong.
