Has anyone been out fishing in the last week?  Not much in the way of fishing reports.  Someone has to be out there catching a few.

Walleye bite is still excellent on points in 25-30ft of water. We have been catching them on a 1/8th white Jakked Baits shooter head. Fished from 3:30 to 8:30pm yesterday

I'm waiting for a couple clear days to go up,Like to go for more than a day. Just spooled up some leadcore, anxious to try it.

Wow, I went Sunday evening and it was my worst fishing evening of the year.  I only caught 3 keeper crappie and haven't been since.  After reading Mikeak's report, I was fishing in the wrong place and am now excited to go again.

Thanks!

Fished the Friday Nighter on the 7th. Ended up finishing 6th. Bite was very tough and it seemed like there was only about a 45 minute window to catch fish. Our bite completely shut off around 8:30.

Caught our 5 flipping the flooded jungle, if you haven't been up there since the flood it's overwhelming how far the water goes back into the trees. For example we saw some guys literally fishing in a boat in/on the Orleans South parking lot!!! Looked like they may have been cat fishing.

11.37 was the winning weight which in years past in June that wouldn't even gotten you in the money some nights!!

Hope since they opened Bagnell today some other other lakes can move some water. Need to drop Stockton about 3-4 feet for the State Park ramp to be usable.

I went Tuesday morning. Went to the dam area. Targeting Walleye. Not that you can take anything from this. But I never got a walleye bite. I did catch some decent to small, smallmouth. Two were keepers. Of course the wind forecast was off as usual. Fun day. It had been a while.

Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???B)

About the second week of June the easy fishing drys up and the fish move deeper slip bobbers at night and jigging spoons during day time... I normally abandoned lake fishing to wade the creeks as those get really good about now as it gets hot, night fishing for carp euro style gets hot for numbers about now, more comfortable too

My buddy and i left the pomme area friday and drove over to Stockton to chase some eyes. When we got up around 8 it was a beautiful "walleye day". Cloudy, a little light rain periodically and light winds. By the time we ate breakfast, cleaned up, got organized, we arrived at Mutton Creek at noon to sunny skies and 25 mph winds! Mutton Creek north was closed so we drove around to Mutton south. One trailer there. But no way was i going to try and launch there! So we drove over to Roarks Bluff and it was usable. With the strong south winds we decided to stay in Son's Creek. Unbelievable how much water is there. We drifted jigs with night crawlers from noon to 6. We caught 2 smalls. 1 nice bass, 1 white bass, 1 big bluegill, 3 drums. Pretty tough sledding. Did not try trolling any crankbaits or any bottom bouncing. Probably should have.

Fished Friday afternoon and Saturday 9AM-3PM. Bounced crawlers Friday, only crappie, drum and smallies to show for it. Fished on the deep side 30+. Saturday trolled cranks on lead. Wanted to cover lots of water, trying different depths and lures to figure out what they want. No walleye love, picked up a few crappie and smallies again. On a side note, we put in at RB in Stockton both days, Saturday was an absolute madhouse!
