Me and my buddy won biggest bag and the big fish 3 yrs running  in the kiddo tourney with carp. The 2-5lb fish are stinking easy to catch on canned corn with some chum. We put em in a baskets or and let em go. Will toss a fly or grub at a carp if I can sight fish for them. Soaking bait in muddy water has no apeal.

Big ones like clear water better

Biguns are a tad harder to catch, kinda like stocker trout vs 11 pound browns, though even small carp fight well

I always fillet mine with skin on. Bread with Cornmeal and Flour, Salt and Pepper and Fry.

Caught nice ones down all Taney with red meat. Found they didn’t taste any different than the ones I get out of the Niangua River.

Best trout I ever ate was about 10yrs ago at Anglers Resort on the White  Fresh caught fish fry on the dock with all the fixins. Sometimes the ambiance   where you eat trout helps the taste😋

The fishing was awesome!

Went bass fishing in the warmer creeks and they were very aggressive , and caught really nice sized  trout in the river too! Several 24-25" browns, all released. 1/4 and 3/8oz orange and brown rooster tails  with gold blades
