Low Water...

Gate #3 at Powersite is stick in the down position - air hose is broke.  Can't be fixed till Bull Shoals is lowered down past 687 feet.

The Corps is going to "pulse" 2 units of water for an hour starting at 9 am today, tomorrow and Thursday to keep the upper end watered - the gravel flats above Fall Creek are exposed to air/sun and heat killing all the bugs.

Release policy may change starting Friday and they might start dumping water from Beaver and Table Rock.  We will see.

Thats pretty wild.  Is that the lowest you've ever seen it @Phil Lilley?

Not good for the bug population at all I bet... Seems its from one extreme to the other.

Wow!

I would have thought that the bugs and such would retreat as the water dropped.

I would think that the scuds will retreat to lower water levels as they have legs and are pretty mobile.

I doubt that midge/mayfly/stonefly larva will move much as they don't have legs and may be at risk.

All that sculpin habitat high and dry. So sad😢. Hope that the water comes up soon.

Actually would be a great time to find that hidden structure along the banks.

Bull doesn't seem to be dropping very fast, and flowing more water into Taneycomo would just be flowing more water into Bull Shoals, I'm not sure how that would help?
