I found some old posts where guys were hammering big trout in 46k CFS from boats so I don't see why this would be a deal breaker. High water on Taneycomo usually means quality fishing for me so hopefully the White is the same.

I was down there in October and they were running ~15000 and it was good fishing.  No problems at all.  I would have no problem at 20K I think.

What weight lines and rods is everyone thinking?   How about lures?

You get that Taney is a LOT deeper than the White River below Bull Shoals. 

Fiah will be caught at 20K, but not near the numbers of fish we would catch at 2K-8K.

I think catching 60 fish is more fun than catching 10 fish.

I'm spooling up 2 reels with 10lb braid and will be slinging jerk baits likely the whole time.  Figure 4lb test on jig rod at these flows and could prolly go up to 6lb if you're gonna throw likely all 1/8 or even 1/4 jigs.

I’m after that 20” brownie that has been so elusive to me on Taney. It’s my turn to watch @JestersHK net my 20”+ brownie! 😁

The deal on Taney in heavy flow is fish eddies or be on the bottom. Shallow water should just make it easier to stay on the bottom, right?

That 20 inch brown is very doable Seth especially with your skills.  Bring some jerkbaits but last year DJ and I got one them good with the jigs as well
