Travelled quite a bit to get these fish. Still have a couple more saltwater targets and at least one freshwater species before things get too cold and shut down most warm water fisheries.

You could have a really aquarium with those...👌

I have a 45 gallon tank sitting in the garage that I have been meaning to setup possibly with natives either freshwater or saltwater then I go on a fishing trip or work on another project and there it sits .

How's everyone doing on their 2020 goals? I still have one or two more shots at achieving another one or two more of my goals. However, here is how I feel right now in terms of how 2020 has been going .

Starting to seriously look at 2021.

My goals weren't too difficult.  When I moved to MO in mid July, I wanted to catch 2 species I had not caught before.... Kentucky Spotted Bass and Longear Sunfish.  Did that.  I again want to thank each of you that gave me tips on where to go, that was very helpful and very much appreciated!

I did reach the late goal of 25 species on flies in Missouri.  Got to 27.  Pretty good for a span of a little under 3 months!  For the whole year, I think I caught 33 species on flies.

Added 9 more species to my fly rod life-list, which wasn't a goal, but a welcome accomplishment.

I guess I had a goal of catching Missouri Grass Carp on flies.  Did that, and I'm already looking forward to more of that next year.

Dave - If you want to include micros to your list, I would suggest that you go back to where you caught the longears and tie a #18 or #20 dropper fly below your bigger fly. Should be able to pick up one or two more species.

I will keep that in mind.

For 2021, my goal is going to be to try to add a Blue Cat to my life fly list, and Rock Bass (Goggle Eye) and Hybrid Striped Bass to my Missouri fly list.  A Missouri Brown Trout would be a nice add as well.  Oh...and a Longnose Gar.  I had one strike several times on the Meramec, but I never did hook it.

I am not going to make my 100 lunker trout goal this year. I am actually going to fall way short. Did not get to fish my favorite trout stream much this year. Even though my wife and I caught some respectable trout this year, I am only at 35 lunkers so far. Might pick up a half dozen more by the end of the year if lucky. But like you said Johnsfolly, it has been a different kind of year.

I would suggest going for the rock bass trifecta, Northern Rock bass, ozark and Shadow bass. Will have to travel some to get all three but they are very doable on a fly.

Never really made a goal this year. Completed a good one in 2019 though. Some of you know about it some don't. Did not even get a chance to plan for one this year as things got blown up as I call it. I did however get to fish with a new partner and had some fantistic trips with numbers and size of fish. Here is to looking forward to next year. I feel at times this year needs to be flushed down the stool. Cannot do that and loose some good memories if that happened.
