Now a question for all.  When these restrictions, orders, stay at home mandates, are lifted, will you resume life the way it was in January?

That is a very good question Jerry,

I doubt it will be the same for me. I will be thinking about this question a bunch.

There is a couple things I have noticed.

When I go by strangers it is different. I mean before there may be a glance like eye contact. Now it is total avoidance a turn of the head in opposite directions. People are really scared I am beginning to get a little paranoid. Never felt that way before unless I sense danger.

Now to seeing friends in public.

I feel a different sense of friendship now. I keep my distance as they do theirs but the time I spend with them feels a bit more important. Fished alongside two of my friends and we were all in different  boats but it was nice to visit as we all fished. Then a friend another day and he boated with me in my boat. Trust him fully and know how concerned he is about this so know he is taking this serous too. Social contact is important. All of these guys are OAF members. I don't think we are made to be hermits. I have told these guys thanks for just seeing them and having them around for a bit. I needed that.

This morning went to a farmer friends place to get some of those supplement tubs. He was feeding a lot full of calves. Normally he is so busy its just a wave or a quick howdy. Today he stopped what he was doing and came over. We both aware of distance thing began to visit for a long time. Compared our thoughts on the current condition of what was going on. Like most of us he is scared and more scared than most as he is fighting colon cancer.  Again being around a friend helped me get through the day better. I needed that and I could tell our visit meant something to him.

One lady at the bank that works the drive in. I went through for some banking. Even being social through glass was good. I told her it was nice to talk to her. She said the same thing. Since things were so slow she now works a week on and then week off. Misses her customers.

Now to us on this Forum. It is getting to us all. We are getting pretty cranky. Pointing fingers and playing the blame game. This thing didn't start here it just invaded our part of the world. It will be with us for some time and like Jerry said will we go back to our normal life? One thing for sure I will be looking at everything different now for the rest of my life.

Oh yeah... there are lots more turns .....but it's go time on the paranoid front :teeth-brushing-:...Dont get me going on; if they dont ease up the lockdowns... and get folks able to sustain their families again...people get cranky about being hungry and stuff..... Might have to install some cams for the crops :dark-mood:

I think it’s lab grown.  Not sure what we’ll do after the shut in is over.  Probably ease into a slightly different lifestyle.  But if we get it and get over it I guess I’ll still have some residual safety habits from this.  No need for a lot of what we did before the quarantine.  Just did it because I was free too.

Greased Lightning? I cancelled no hockey hulu live like greased lightning.

Never strikes twice? Even if lightning never strikes the same place twice, I think we had a good shot at back to back cups.

I Do Too.... and from what I have garnered, this thing hides, reinfects, and generally is a culling mechanism. A Culling Virus that dont care if you are healthy...With a Big enough Viral load......you are down for the count (Social Distance and Mask...=  ....GOOd for the time being).....profalactic options are what I envision are the best defense (HCQ etc)... and what can you do personally.....Get yourself healthy.. Lose weight, Take vitamins that boost immune system and fight the ability of the virus to do a Rocky Balboa on good cells... You want your body to put up a Muhammad Ali Fight....Stay against the ring as long as you can and wear it down till you can beat it!!!!!

You live on a different planet now!!!!... I just cant see YET...how we get back to yesterday!!!!!.... But I hold out hope and is why there are several turns left on the hose clamp!

Not working makes it a lot easier for me to go back to life the way it was.  To me it is more about what will be the new normal as far as the rest of the world?

Not so bad for us semi-rural or rural types to adjust to.  I spent 6 years of my life working and going to school in downtown Boston.  If you've ever been to Boston or NYC then you'll understand how crowded it is.  During rush hour the subway cars are packed so full that sometimes the doors won't close until people push themselves in a little more.  Sidewalks are jammed with pedestrians, restaurants and bars are packed, elevators jammed full, it's just a lot of people in a small area.  It's going to be interesting to see how those big metropolitan areas deal with a return to 'normal'.
