Take care of yourself and family. Be kind to others. The less you fuel this dumpster fire of emotion, & stupidity, the better off you will be. Well, some play by the rules, some don’t. Some encourage people who don’t play by the rules, which is just as bad. They’ve been asked to take it to the political thread but for some reason they don’t. It has changed greatly since I was there. You can even retake the tests over to get a better grade. About the only thing you learn is how to Google search for answers. Not sure how the new college makes you any smarter. College doesn't make you smarter, but it can make you better educated and able to understand things that absent education you wouldn't have a clue. Organic chemistry for an example. Microbiology for another, examples are TNTC. Quillback, Mitch f and Johnsfolly 3

A college degree in a science ( not an art) is a ticket to pay and vacation portability between employers, in a field, for anyone with some initiative. personal wiring and being in a job that somewhat aligns with passion is more important than paperwork. The paperwork gets more doors open.

Terrierman Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 Engineer? What MOS? 10th what? Don't claim what you didn't earn. And if you did, put it up or shut it up.

My organic chem lab was tainted and my labs never came out right. The hoods sucked too. Too many vapors got loose. Biology was my thing, my Path Micro and Immuno classes had a smart person. I took Botany and Astronomy as electives for kicks. Physics was a breeze. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

You could drift through college back in my day too, lots of easy course schedules to take. I remember taking electives like 'Art History' and the 'History of Boston'. They were interesting courses, but piece of cake compared to Calculus or Physics. And in the end I never used any of that math or physics in my job in the telecom world, but that degree helped me get into a good career. Art History got me thru one of my required arts classes. Kinda interesting. My time required 4 PE credits. Aced archery, took Fencing and loved it. Judo was fun. Took a latin course to get some background on the naming systems of the species, dropped it second day, could not stand the flaming teacher on that one.
