One thing I've noticed in the Theodosia arm of Bull Shoals is how much more additional run off enters the lake above hwy160 now than it used to. It may have something to do with the hundreds of acres of woods that are now gone. In the Longrun Thornfield area where the pond fork and the river runs through there have been a lot of trees cut down. Thousands. What used to be thick woods is now acres and acres of bare rolling hillsides. I would think this may contribute to additional run off into the lake.  A lot more?!

Nice cold rain falling out there this morning.  We needed it, the water level in the roadside ditches was getting a little low.

I have 38 degree this morning and a pretty nice cold rain coming down.  2 boats have gone by already in this rain.  Oh, to be young again and that enthusiastic.

Lake had a slight pause at 923.  We have had a 1/2 inch here this morning and from what Jeff said Arky is getting rain in the basin.  I see the line rising on the graph now, guess its headed for 24 or there abouts.

Local news guy last night said we were now 5" above normal for the year, I believe they measure it in Fayetteville.  I remember them saying we were something like 20 inches over normal last year.  There's some heavy rain on the radar right now moving this way.

Exactly 2 inches here at the Lodge this morning it has stopped and boats are running.  Must be launching at State park as the ramps on this end are closed.  Still shaking my head about the guy running this morning in lightning rain and hail.

Yes, but you'll need waders to get to the dock if you want to use it, at least as of yesterday. Mill Creek is good. Someone has been keeping the dock moved.
