Put Put is on.  Probably needs to go a little higher, but I can.  Heading to St Francois River Sunday to give it the shake down cruise.  Maybe the white bass are running, its time.

Might consider a whale tail if you trouble getting it up plane quickly.  Nice rig!!!

It's light enough it should pop up. I think the motor still needs to go up some. Fishing it with a friend on Sunday, it will be at it's average weight so I can tweak it. See what I need then.

Who sells the whale tail for a jet?  I have seen a couple but never used one.

I like your rig JD. About the same as the one my departed friend had. Much enjoyment we had in it and you will too buddy. Yes to getting that foot higher. Your test run will tell.

Troutt and Sons makes them.  Or gets them made.  My buddy had one made by some dude with a CNC machine.

I’m no expert on jet boats but from what I’ve read in the jet boat Facebook groups the middle of the Intake on the foot should be even with the  bottom of the boat.

You aren't gonna need a hydrofoil.  Motor just needs to come up a bit.

You're gonna take a shower running it like that.   Take some soap and a towel. 😅

The leading edge should be above the bottom of the boat and the trailing edge should be about an inch  below...some guys say 3/4”

Current River Marine said to sit it at 22" and give it a run.  And go up from there.  I have plenty of room to rise...

SD got her wings today.  Picked up my little cousin and cruised from Old Greenville Ramp to Bounds Creek.  In flood stage, GPS showed 12 MPH up and 14 down.  Planed out good and run like a champ.  Motor sits about right.  Hard to say how shallow it runs with so much muddy water.  But pops up good and plenty of umpf.
