I have a lot of meat.  Big meat.

Bragger.

Ask a simple question regarding life sustaining nutritional products and it figures that you would somehow make it all about YOU!

Sad.  Just sad.🙄

Costco is where we first noticed it and then Kathy went to Walmart and was gonna grab some burger for dinner and they had ZERO.

Finally found some at Price Chopper but it was $6.99 a pound!

And that was for the 80/20 stuff.

I see now a lot of folks are suspecting price fixing at higher levels of the industry.

Why not?

Everybody else is trying to figure out a way to get rich off of this deal so why not them?

We picked up steaks to bring along but are gonna need wings and burger for sure.

Since we leave tomorrow morning there ain't a lot of time left to grocery shop up here.

Haven't checked the price but it might be easier and cheaper to grind your own.

I'm sure it probably would be but that ain't exactly in our "area".

We're suckers that just have to pay whatever it takes to get what we want!

Not much improvising going on around here unless a vacuum sealer counts.....🙄

Our Walmart has been pretty well cleaned out for the past week on meat. The smaller grocery store a few minutes away had plenty though so  I went ahead and bought 20# of pork butts, three family packs of porksteaks and 20# of burger. I've got enough fish, deer, elk and turkey in the freezer to last a long time, but the fiance needs her beef, chicken and pork.

We're particularly fond of the Boston burger at Harter House.  The stuff around here that claims to be the same thing ain't even close.

We've got a couple of Costco steaks to bring and I'm gonna go look for wings this afternoon to bring as well but would way rather get burger down there if the Boston stuff is available.

Well, with the media flogging the story as much as they are, we can bet there will be some hoarding.

We did load up on meat yesterday ... to beat the dang hoarders to it :D

Somewhat related question:  how's the access/availability of restaurants down that way?  Have most places stayed open for at least some form of take-out service?  Any signs of "shortage" showing up in their offerings?

Not looking to mess with dine-in... but still hoping to patronize a few of our regular stops while we're there the week after next.  Indian Point area.
