I took my neighbor to Stockton today.  We threw spinner baits (no love), jigs (no love) and shaky on my new standup jig (lots of love).  We caught 20 lmb and 1 smb.  I had 9 keepers from 2-2.75 #.  My neighbor had 4 keeper lmb and a 2.5 smb.  He lost 4 keepers on the way to the boat.  Worm color didn’t matter.  The fish were on windy spots from about 8-20’ deep.  We tried a few brush piles and couldn’t get bit.

That's a good day.

In the bushes some.  It is only 5’ high and dropping a couple of inches daily.

My wife caught this 4lb6 oz today on her fav zoom craw green pumpkin big critter craw. Fished from 6:30-12:00. Worked for every fish we caught but it was fun. My wife just retired...great way to start her next chapter in life.

Congrats on a nice bass!  Hope that she enjoys her retirement. Looks like a great start!

Nice job Dutch. I have to admit I am struggling right now but got my fairy wand flying.  Good numbers but no size. You however caught the same keepers in a few hours it took me two days to find. When Stockton is high I suck and get all offshore minded. I may change my name to NED as it constantly saves me. I have good fish located on offshore structure who may never eat. Maybe it is the bbq sauce. Man I can see em' but ain't catching  them..

Sounds you got dialed in.. Working on a new hand poured frog that shows promise.

Thanks for the compliment.  I probably just got lucky.  I hope to get back Wednesday or Thursday to see if I can find some more.  I believe that the wind was the key..

The little guy hasn’t been productive for me lately but I’ve been using my new standup shaky  jig a whole lot.  Let me know how it goes with the frog.

I believe that my weakest link is the off shore stuff.  It may be a patience thing.  Winter with a jigging spoon is about it for me.

Hey Bass guys. Lol. Last Monday I pulled into a spot I I had been catching a few walleye with a jigging rap. I shut the boat down dropped the trolling motor I was he cruising along trying to get to the depth of about 16 to 20 ft. When I got to about 27 to 30. The sonar lit up. So I put it in spot lock. Dropped in and immediately caught an approx 4 to 5lb largemouth. Then proceeded over the next 20 min to catch large mouth spots and whites. I had 4 or 5 large mouth over 4 lbs to 5lb not what I was after but man what a blast. The white bass where huge also. Another fella seen me catching and pulled up and asked me what is was using. He asked if he could fish that close to me and I said sure so he put on a spoon and proceeded to catch 3 or 4 fish before it was over. I just wish I had taken a pic. So Dutch that winter spoon bite might be the ticket now. Not that I know anything about bass.  But thought I would pass that info along.  They were all caught on a no.7 perch colored jigging rap.

Thanks.  I always have a jigging spoon on deck but I haven’t seen stuff to drop it on.
