At times you will have several in view in particular near a bluff where I suspect they are heading out of in Spring and getting ready to return in the fall to hibernate or go dormant. I seen this fatty and all I had with me today was the cell phone so I did my best. First pic was the drive by, Then I could not get close again for a closeup. Tried and tried no luck. Finally I just headed towards him and as it slid underneath I boat I turned off the jet and just waited for it to come out of one side of the boat.
